'''Squidzoid vs Shadow Guy and Gamma Gal''' is a stage play that is about two super-heroes battling with a mutant squid. In the many "sequels" [[Squidzoid]] has helpers. These are, in the first, a Gamera-like Turtle, in the second, a giant robot and in the most recent sequel, a huge moth called Melmonst.  This play was nominated in the [[Penguin Play Awards 2009]] and the [[Penguin Play Awards 2010|the ones in 2010.]] In 2010, it won the best costume award.

*Melmonst looks like Insectosaurus from the real movie "Monsters vs. Aliens".
*Before the redesign in October 2009, there was a different monster for each encore.
*The original set design bears a strong resemblence to the city of Chicago, Illinois, as the tall tower looks extremely similar to the Sears tower and the tall skyscrapers which are abundant in Chicago and other large cities.
