Quick rundown of PenguinNet setup & planning.
IRC Daemon
- InspIRCd, most likely (Documenation Wiki)
UnrealIRCd as a possibility?Probably not, but definitely a second backup choice. (Documentation)
Services Package
- Atheme IRC Services (Official Site)
Anope IRC Services,Never.
Web Client (webchat)
Probably QWebIRC, same as Freenode- hipsters use iris
Possibly CGI:IRC, but probably not.- QwebIRC was annoying to set up. We're using lightIRC for now and possibly iris later.
Network Opers
- Staffers will be given full access to almost everything except server linking/shutdown.
- Helpers (non-staff admins and trusted users) will be given access to most things, possibly even K-Lines
