Quick rundown of PenguinNet setup & planning.

IRC Daemon

Services Package

Web Client (webchat)

  • Probably QWebIRC, same as Freenode
    • hipsters use iris
  • Possibly CGI:IRC, but probably not.
  • QwebIRC was annoying to set up. We're using lightIRC for now and possibly iris later.

Network Opers

  • Staffers will be given full access to almost everything except server linking/shutdown.
  • Helpers (non-staff admins and trusted users) will be given access to most things, possibly even K-Lines
