The '''Backstage''' was a temporary [[members|members-only]] room during both editions of the [[Penguin Play Awards]]. It was first opened on the 20 March, 2009 in conjunction with the [[Penguin Play Awards 2009|first edition]] of the awards. It was only accessible through the [[Stage]]. As this was one of only two main rooms during the event, it was very popular and often full. Several mascots made appearances here for the [[Penguin Play Awards 2009]], including [[Gary]], [[Aunt Arctic]], [[Cadence]] and [[The Penguin Band]], though only [[Aunt Arctic]] and [[Cadence]] returned for the [[Penguin Play Awards 2010|2010 edition]].

==Trivia==
*Many attempts by non-members to break in had been attempted. Only people using [[Winsocket Packet Editor Professional|WPE PRO]] got in, but that is illegal, as well as breaking Club Penguin rules.
*Some penguins here pretended to be hair stylists by standing behind the stool and asking people to come up. Using words, they would shampoo, rinse, condition, and dry your hair. Some would even put jewelry on the [[penguin]] if it was a girl.
*It got updated in Penguin Play Award's 2010.
*The video camera is here in The New version of the backstage.
*People often come in here and pretend to be famous people like Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato.
*There is a fish in the aquarium that is very similar to one of the fish in the [[Underwater]].
