Membership cards, also known as game cards, are real life gift cards that can be purchased to obtain membership on Club Penguin. This is one of the simplest ways to become a member. Membership cards are available for one month, three month (seasonal), six month, and one year. They are commonly given as gifts, such as birthdays. In the United States, the three and six month memberships may also come with an item to unlock online.

Where can they be purchased

The list below lists some of the most common stores membership cards are purchased in. For a complete list of stores, see Club Penguin's membership page.

  • United States: Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Toys "R" Us, Gamestop
  • Canada: Walmart, London Drugs, Future Shop, Toys "R" Us, Shoppers Drug Mart, Macs, Safeway
  • United Kingdom: Toys "R" Us, Sainsbury's
  • Brazil: Rock Laser Games, Walmart, Sam's Club, Lojas Americanas, Livraria Saraiva
  • Australia: 7-11, Woolworths, EB Games

Six month and one year membership cards can also be purchased electronically through Amazon.com. The one year membership also unlocks the eReader for your penguin.

How it works

Club Penguin's membership cards are powered by Fastcard, which requires an activation by purchasing the card. Upon purchase, players can redeem their code by accessing the Club Penguin membership page and scrolling down to the "Membership Cards" section and clicking "Activate Now". Players must then enter their penguin login information before entering the code found at the back of the membership card. Once the code is entered, the membership redemption process is complete and the penguin will be a member for the duration of the membership.
