The rocket-powered surfboard is one of Gary's inventions. It was a surfboard with two small rockets on it. It was tested by the penguin who created a freeze ray. It appeared in The Inventor's Apprentice. Two different things could happen to the board, depending on your decision. One way, with heat proof shields, it goes greatly, the other, with light shields, the board gets destroyed.
