2009 Color Vote

The colors

The 2009 Color Vote was a vote deciding a new Penguin Color. The Color choices were Lavender, Aqua, and Maroon.

A vote like this happened in 2006, when the choices were Lavender and Lime Green. The vote started on July 24 and ended July 29, 2009. There was a poll held in the Forest, where Penguins could vote for the new Color at the Color Vote Booth. The Color with the most votes was could be purchasable in the August 2009 Penguin Style, and was revealed on August 6.

The winning color was Aqua.

Post Cards

There were color postcards telling penguins to vote for a certain color. The postcards had pictures of penguins with paint and overalls.

Trivia

• In 2006, Lime Green beat Lavender in the color vote.
• Lavender lost again in this vote, as well.
• Aqua might get its own Paint by Letters book, like lime green, however this probably won't happen due to the fact that there was no "Aqua Party".
• For now, there is no Aqua Party.
• Some penguins think that the CP Team choose Aqua for the Underwater Adventure play. But this is highly unlikely.
• It was surprising that Aqua won, due to the fact that the crowds of penguins at the Forest were vise-versa. In other words, the biggest group were purple penguins shouting for penguins to vote for lavender, the smallest group were light blue penguins saying to vote for aqua, and the one in the middle were red penguins saying to vote for maroon. However, Mimo might have something to do with this (see below).
• There may be a 2010 Color Vote, but this is unlikely, as the previous vote was in 2006.
  • The next color vote might be in 2012.
  • A user from this wiki had once e mailed club penguin and they said the next one might come in 2010

Possible Vote Influence

Many Penguins believe that a famous Club Penguin blog owner, Mimo777, influenced the vote, causing Aqua to win. Penguins believe this because Mimo stated on his blog:

“	Have you seen the new postcards yet on Club Penguin? Cool! So yeah, vote for Aqua. If you do, we will have a giant Aqua Mimo Postcard party! AND I'm sure you might know this too but you can log off and log back on to Club Penguin, and you can vote again, over and over! Cool! We had a sweet Club Penguin Quickee Party for all the aqua ppl! WOOT! Check out this pic before it got real busy! By the way, I'm not a member anymore! Boohoo!	”

He bribed them with a party, which in the end never actually happened. Not only did he tell penguins how to actually cheat by voting for Aqua as many times as they would like, but he also stated that he is not a member anymore, so users feel bad for him and vote for his color.
