Players move from location to location using a jet pack, and collecting coins along the way. If the player runs out of fuel, a short cutscene shows the penguin falling from the sky and activating a parachute. Extra fuel can be collected, but watch out for anvils and coffee bags. The occasional other obstucle may come such as a shark.

Jet Pack Adventure is a game played from the Beacon. If the player makes it to the end of Level 5, they end up in the Mine. It can also be used as transportation to place to place.
