The Club Penguin Improvement Project (mostly known as CPIP), was a kind of beta testing version for Version 2 of Club Penguin in 2008. Everyone who participated got a Red Construction Hat.

Timeline

  • March 10th: CPIP was launched.
  • March 11th: The "get unavailable items" bug was found by the Club Penguin Team.[1]
  • March 14th, 4:15 PST: Moderator party with Billybob, rsnail and Screenhog on Test Server 1.[2]
  • March 27-31: Everyone who logged into the test servers turned into green puffles.
  • April 4th: The test servers were removed.[3]
  • April 14th: The new website was completed, and the new servers were launched.[4]
  • July 13th: CPIP was closed.[5]

Removed Changes

  • Clear Outfit button: Instead of removing all items one by one, penguins could remove them all at once by clicking a red X at the bottom right of their Player Card.[6]
