The Beacon Telescope, commonly known as the Telescope, was located at the Beacon and it was used for signalling the return of Captain Rockhopper, which was why sometimes the Migrator could be seen in it. Sometimes, other things were washed ashore, such as blocks of ice and once a message in a bottle. There was a rumor that if you look through it for a considerable amount of time, many humorous events may happen, depending if a party is happening or not. It was destroyed along with the Beacon and the Lighthouse on April 26th, 2011.
Parties
- During the April Fools 2008 Party, the Telescope became a kaleidoscope.
- During the Festival of Flight 2009, the telescope shows a picture of the sky with clouds made from the Cloud Maker 3000.
- During the Holiday Party 2009, the sky was dark and you could see stars, like much of the rest of Club Penguin (e.g. the map, binoculars).
Trivia
- The telescope shows the opposite side of the Binoculars on the Cove.
- During the Halloween Parties, when players looked out through the telescope, it was dark.
- Sometime in January 2008, the Migrator crashed into a block of ice and for the first time players saw Rockhopper entering & exiting Club Penguin.
- Sometime in April 2008, players could see Rockhopper entered Club Penguin in a motorboat.
- A portable, homemade telescope was used by Dancing Penguin in the Mission "Case of the Missing Puffles", to spot Aunt Arctic's puffles on the Tallest Mountain. Players have to fix it with their wrench, and then Dancing Penguin will let you look through it.
- Also, during the Mission "Avalanche Rescue", the telescope can be taken off of its place on the Beacon, and put on a telescope stand fixed in Gary's Room, to look at the correct path for sledding down the Ski Hill in order to get the lost penguins.
- There was once a Telescope Pin.
- In Mission 11, the telescope was broken, and you have to help Rory fix it, and to fix Dancing Penguin's glasses in order to get the Spy Goggles.
