The Bell is a hand item in Club Penguin. It is a free item and it was available to all penguins on Club Penguin in December 2007 and 2008 during Coins for Change. During Coins for Change in 2007 and 2008, bells were given away as free items. If you wave with the bell on your flipper, your penguin will ring the bell, causing a dinging sound to be heard. It is one of the few instruments that make sound outside of the Lighthouse. This item is commonly seen around Christmas time, when Coins for Change is around. A similar item is the Silver Bell. Its sound differs from the Silver Bell's.

History

This item was first released in December 2007 with the introduction of Coins for Change. When Coins for Change returned in December 2008, this item also returned, but it did not return in December 2009, making this item somewhat rare.

Some penguins use it to attract attention to the Coins for Change center, or they might simply use this to annoy other penguins.

Trivia

• It might be a reference to the Salvation Army bells that the "bell-ringers" ring.
• If you use a Whistle or a Silver Whistle with this item, then it will make an annoying screeching sound.
