Maroon was a candidate for the 2009 Color Vote. It was last place in color vote, losing to Aqua and also heavily behind Lavender in votes. Despite being a color vote candidate, it was never a bait item. Maroon was criticised for looking too much like red, but the same could be said for Aqua looking like Blue.
Trivia
- Maroon in Club Penguin looks a lot more like Burgundy than Maroon.
- Only mods and hackers can have this.
- You can get this by using penguin storm but note that this is illegal and its highly possible that you can get banned forever or for 72 hours.(72 hours = 3 days)
- It may be a candidate for the next color vote (if there is another color vote).
