It was the first time that [[Club Penguin]] did make a partnership with [[wikipedia:Marvel_Entertainment|Marvel]], and the first time when a party is commercial. It is related to the film [[wikipedia:The_Avengers_(2012_film)|The Avengers]]. There was a party room called [[Downtown Showdown]]. | The Marvel Super Hero Takeover was first mentioned on the UK Disney website. On May 7, [[Screenhog]] announced via Twitter that he is composing at least two songs for an event in June, which refers to this party. <ref>"[http://twitter.com/#!/_screenhog/status/199599699949404160 @TheRealFeey1 I did just make more music for Club Penguin. Two songs for a really cool event in June.]" 7 May 2012, 4:40 PM, @_screenhog on Twitter</ref> When Club Penguin updated on May 31, a meteor could be seen in the Beacon [[telescope]]. The following week, on June 7, the meteor hit the island at the [[Dock]].
