Postcards cost 10 coins each. The interface was changed after the CPIP (Club Penguin Improvement Project). The Catalog is constantly being changed. New cards are added during an event (e.g. Play Award invitation, Holiday Greeting). Most penguins use postcards as a way of communicating with a buddy they have not seen in a while.
