- It was originally a rumored Fall Fair item, because you could only see it by using a cheating program before the item updates during The Fair 2009.
- It might be based on the hat that The Cat in the Hat wears, but in purple and black instead of red and white.
- There might be a new stripey hat at The Fair 2010 as shown in the login screen for the party.
