Turtles are a type of pet formerly available at the Pet Shop. They seem to like a tropical habitat, as seen in the terrarium that they live in. However, there are no species of turtle living anywhere near Antarctica, so it is unknown how penguins get them; similar to the phenomenon of Cacti in Club Penguin Island.
Trivia
- Turtles could have been brought to Club Penguin by Rockhopper from Rockhopper Island.
- Sea turtle pirates are in a real book called "Club Penguin: Stowaway! Adventures at Sea".
- Due to their enclosure, turtles could easily escape given a motive since the terrarium they live in doesn't have a roof and hosts very short sides.
- The turtle is one of the items you needed to find in the Adventure Hunt of the Adventure Party 2009.
- The turtle's home is made up of one little palm tree, sand, and next to the enclosure is a light. However, you can not switch the light on and off.
- The item does not come in any different shapes or sizes. You can find it in the igloo catalog.
