The Ghost Background (formerly Ghostly Grin Background) is a background in Club Penguin that players voted for on the What's New Blog.[1] It made its debut in the Penguin Style in October 2009. It costs 60 coins in the Penguin Style and, like all backgrounds, all players were able to buy it.
History
The draft of the Ghostly Grin Background was first shown in a You Decide! poll on the What's New Blog in early September 2009.[1] The poll was to choose a background for the upcoming October 2009 Penguin Style catalog. The Ghostly Grin won against the other two designs, "Pumpkin Patch" and "Spider Web", though the Pumpkin Patch design was later released as the Jack O' Lanterns Background. It was released in October 2009, and re-released every October from 2010-2014.
