2009 Color Vote

The 2009 Color Vote was a vote deciding a new Penguin Color. The color choices were Lavender, Aqua, and Maroon.

A vote like this happened in 2006, when the choices were Lavender and Lime Green. The vote started on July 24 and ended July 29, 2009 at the same time the Music Jam 2009 ended. There was a poll held in the Forest, where Penguins could vote for the new Color at the Color Vote Booth. The Color with the most votes was could be purchasable in the August 2009 Penguin Style, and was revealed on August 6, 2009.

The winning color was Aqua. It is believed that the famous blogger, Mimo777, caused Aqua to win, because there was a huge spike in votes for the Aqua color after he said he wanted Aqua to win, and he also mentioned to his blog readers that he would hold an "Aqua Party" if Aqua won.

Post Cards

There were color postcards tellingpenguins to vote for a certain color. The postcards had pictures of penguins with paint and overalls.

Trivia

• In 2006, Lime Green beat Lavender in the color vote.
• Lavender lost again in this vote, as well.
• Aqua might get its own Paint by Letters book, like lime green, however this probably won't happen due to the fact that there was no "Aqua Party".
• There may be a 2010 Color Vote, but this is unlikely, as the previous vote was in 2006.
• Many penguins did not liked it when Aqua won, because it looks similar Light Blue.
• Maybe since there was a 2006 vote then 2009 there will be a 2012 one.
