If a penguin has the map, it will be found in the inventory.

The lost map is shown opened along with its in-game appearance.

One day, a penguin was playing Jet Pack Adventure and miscalculated his landing. He ended up in an uncharted wilderness and heard the sound of the ocean. Approaching the area, he discovered an uninhabited beach, and made a sketch of its features and location. His friend located him and they explored the beach. Unfortunately, on their way back, the map was blown out of the penguin's grasp. The map was lost, but has been found.

Finding the lost map

You can find the lost map by going to the Mountain. It will fly into the signpost. Click on it and it will fly away. Follow it down to the Ski Village. Click on it and it will fly away. Then continue to the Dock and Town where you will find it on one of the lights in front of the sign for the Night Club. Click on it and it will fly away. Go to the Snow Forts and you will find it underneath the Clock Tower. You can then click on it to add it to your inventory.

Going to the Forest

You can then go to the Plaza and go behind the Tour Guide kiosk.

Going to the Cove

You cannot go to the Cove at the moment and the release date hasn't been announced. However, there is a members-only party, date unannounced, that starts the day the Cove should be opened.
