Tour Description
"Here's the island's tallest building! The Lighthouse has a stage... and a picture gallery... and, um, random storage. Go upstairs to light the Beacon!"

The Lighthouse of the Club Penguin Island is located at the Beach. Once you enter, you will see the stage area. On the top of your screen, there will be a flight of stairs. On the walls are pictures of maps, penguins, the Lighthouse, the Beach, Fluffy the Fish, and Rockhopper, the pirate penguin. Go up these stairs and your penguin will enter the second story of the Lighthouse - the Beacon. A shortcut for entering the Beacon is by clicking on the "To Top" sign; near the top left corner of the screen.

History

Before the Lighthouse opened in September, according to many sources such as the Penguin Times, penguins of Club Penguin managed to raise enough money to open the Lighthouse through the fund in The Penguin Times. This was called the Lighthouse Donation. Players who donated the set amount of 750 coins received a red and white striped shirt. The Lighthouse was opened in September 2006, it opened with a 3-day party. The free item was a red sailor's cap.

On march 30, 2017 a plane crashed into the lighthouse and because nickelodeon cp island's transmitter was on the roof, it went to black during the the fairly oddparents episode knitwits, and was shutdown until the lighthouse was rebuilt on april 6. The Spongebob squarepants episode best day ever/the gift of gum was about to come on, but it showed a constantly repeating footage of the simpsons dying for a week. Pengplane went bankrupt because of this, and 9 penguins (3 of which were puffles) passed away. The night before it reopened, workers worked for quite a few hours to fit in the new light. Nickelodeon played to celebrate its relaunch. A week before, the Lighthouse was destroyed but now, penguins have filled it up with Rockhopper's newer pictures and many various items from the pengplane hangars, such as a door. You can have access to the rebuilt nickelodeon broadcast Beacon by climbing up the stairs or just clicking on the 'TO TOP' sign. On April 13, 2017 a new stage opened. The old lighthouse sunk to the bottom of the sea. In July 2017, there was an update to the rebuilt lighthouse, as it was given a new Music Catalog from the Music Jams.rockhopper came to the reopening
