Penguins are the citizens of Club Penguin. Along with puffles, they confirm the 2 main species of the multiplayer game.

Penguins are divided into 2 main groups: members and non-members. Members are penguins who pay money in order to gain membership and, henceforth, acquire or unlock several new features in their game-play, for example, being able to buy clothes; whilst non-members have access to only the basic or common features.

Appearance

In the game, penguins have a triangle shaped head, with two relatively small eyes. They have big beaks (as opposed to a normal penguin's narrow beak) and do not have eyebrows, except for Cadence, Rockhopper, G and Sensei. The only penguins with eyebrows are penguins who bought the "Big Brow" from the play "The Penguins that Time Forgot" or by buying the Scrooge outfit in the December 2009 and 2010 Penguin Style.

ID

When a penguin is made, they have an ID number, such as P106231320 or P10375382. This signifies how old the penguin is. If a penguin is made on the English servers, their name would be their ID number if they went on the Spanish servers or any other server in a different language. However, if you log onto the foreign language servers a certain amount of times, your name will be changed from the ID to the actual name. The 100,000,000th penguin was made sometime in Fall 2009.

Penguins eat only two primary food sources: fish and pizza, but there are other foods:

  • The Pizza Chef mentioned in Mission 5 that penguins eat "salads or something" when the Pizzatron 3000 is broken because the Clock Tower is down.
  • A Fishburger is shown in Gary's microwave in Mission 8.
The comic strip that inspired the creation of the original Club Penguin games, Penguin Chat 3, and Experimental Penguins.
