The Penguin Mail inbox, without a message showing.

Penguin Mail was introduced on May 29, 2008. Instead of postcards being only one time use, it allows you to manage postcards as mail and even send reply or send mail to penguins, but you can only reply to penguins on your buddy list. To see a list of messages, click here. The first postcard all players got was an introduction to Penguin Mail which also gave away a free blue mailbag. Players can recycle messages via the recycle button, to lower their usage of the allowed inbox. Also, players can directly reply to the sender of the postcard, and the receiver can inherit the postcard even if they are offline. Players may occasionally get automated postcards for events such as adopting Puffles or joining Club Penguin. A postcard was also given to Members during the Music Jam 08 telling them to look for the Penguin Band. A similar postcard was sent during the Penguin Play Awards telling penguins to look out for The Band and Cadence at the Stage.

The Penguin Mail postcard catalog updates every month or so.

Trivia

  • If someone purchased a membership, they will get a postcard to enjoy their membership.
  • If you forget to feed your puffle, you get a postcard telling you that <insert puffle name> is hungry. It is automatically sent. How puffles call up the automatic post card sender is unknown. You also get one if your puffle runs away.
  • You can send a mail to system by clicking "Reply to buddy" before it hides above the screen. However, their mailbox is always full.
  • If someone only has 7 and then again at 3 days of membership left, a postcard will be sent including a link to buy more via credit card.
  • Secret Agents and Tour Guides are now getting paid via Penguin Mail. If you became an EPF agent, however, you will not get the salary for the agent.
  • During some parties, a postcard would be automatically sent, telling you that the party is going on.
  • A glitch that lets you stand in pathways is by clicking the path, opening Penguin Mail, waiting a few seconds and then closing Penguin Mail to see your penguin in the pathway. This is known by most old penguins, but many new penguins want to know how to do it.
  • The Candy Cane Hat and Blue Mail Bag could be obtained through Penguin Mail.
  • There was once a trash button. However, it was permanently changed during the Earth Day 2010 so that it would be recycled.
  • Many postcards are deleted after a while. This makes some penguins sad. The one that are deleted get replaced by different ones (you can see when the mail is gonna be updated by the paper)
