Puffle

A Puffle (Moschomicrotherium Pufflei) is a small, furry creature that can currently be purchased in the Pet Shop. Puffles were discovered sometime in November 2005, however, they do not exist in real life like penguins do. If puffles are not properly taken care of, they will get sad and run away. There was a contest for the best name for the new creatures, when they were first discovered in 2005. The best name was thought to be "puffle". On February 13, 2009 puffles actually started to interact with puffle furniture; prior to this, the furniture served no purpose and it was ignored by puffles.

Puffles appear as horrible, tasty balls of fluff, and there are a variety of colors to choose from. Members may adopt up to 16 puffles of any kind, while non-members are restricted to only 2 (blue and red). However, former members get to keep their puffles.

Puffles are also known for sending "Feed Me" postcards to their owners when they are hungry and also postcards notifying their owners when they have run away. How they do it is unknown, as they have no hands, but they might write with a pen in their mouth or with telekenesis.

Originally, if people came to your igloo, and clicked on your puffle, they'd see the puffle card. They could see your puffle's name and how well you've been taking care of it. Now, Club Penguin has changed that so that visitors to your igloo cannot view your puffle cards.

In November 2005, a ball of fluff was spotted at the Snow Forts. Penguins named the fluffy animals 'puffles' and they rounded the puffles up near the Snow Forts during Club Penguin's first Christmas Party. (The discovery in the Snow Forts may be what made the Snow Forts be an area for all puffles in the Puffle Party) On St. Patrick's Day of 2006, all the penguins were able to adopt puffles of their own for their first time. The first red puffle was discovered by Rockhopper on Rockhopper Island. The first yellow puffle was discovered in the Halloween Party 2007 at the Forest and the Mountain. The first white puffle was discovered during the Puffle Party 2009 at the Dojo Courtyard and the Ski Hill. The first orange puffle was discovered before the Puffle Party 2010 at the Ski Lodge and the Box Dimension.

When a player clicks on a Puffle, a box similar to a player card shows up, giving options for how to interact with the Puffle. It also shows 4 buttons - one for health, energy, hunger, and walking. Caring for a Puffle involves some (but not all of these) procedures:

Feeding it. Puffles can be fed Puffle Bubble, a Cookie, or Puffle-O's. Puffle-O's are the most nutritious food.
Bathing it.
Playing with it.
Allowing it to sleep.
Walking it.

A trick for getting your puffles all the way to the full health is to give it a bath... But before the bath is done, feed it. This will give your puffle a big smile and a full status. But, this is also the most expensive method.

If a player doesn't care for a Puffle enough, it will run away.

Billybob said that letting puffles play with their furniture on their own decreases their health, according to this.

Types of Puffles

All Puffles are at a cost of 800 coins per puffle. The blue and red Puffles are special and loyal, since they are the only puffles that are available to both Non-Members and Members. Every puffle other than the blue and red ones requires a membership to purchase. However, the red Puffle was brought with Rockhopper on his second visit. Some puffles can help you play games. The red one for Surfing, the purple one for Dance Contest, and the pink one for Aqua Grabber If you buy a toy puffle at a real store, you can unlock a member puffle. Here is some information about each colored Puffle:

Blue Puffle.

Blue Puffle - They are probably the most known puffle, as being the only non-member puffle until the Red Puffle was introduced and is usually representing puffles in videos or pictures.

Red Puffle.

Red Puffle - They originally came from Rockhopper Island, but have now been domesticated for igloo useage. The most famous red Puffle is Rockhopper's puffle, Yarr.

Pink Puffle.

Pink Puffle - They are known for their sportiness. When dancing, they will do a few warm-up stretches. They are also depicted as cheerful. They may be lighter than other puffles because they float when the have puffle bubble.

Black Puffle.

Black Puffle - They are known for their reluctancy, and shadowiness. They are also known for catching on fire when eating O Berrys. Many Penguins tend to view black puffles as "gangster-like". When penguins dance with a Black Puffle equipped, the puffle will transform into a tornado: this often baffles new players. They rarely smile.

Green Puffle.

Green Puffle - They are known to be very energetic and active. They are much like clowns, and are usually seen with a Propellor Cap or a unicycle. The most famous green Puffle is the Keeper of the Boiler Room. During the CPIP improvement project, you could become one during the April Fools day party. There is a rumor that the Green Puffle can be playable in Jet Pack Adventure because it can fly. This rumor is still currently untrue, although this may happen in the future.

Yellow Puffle.

Yellow Puffle - They are very creative and artistic, and are known to sculpt and paint perfect pieces of art. Before they came out, penguins had rumors that this was the Golden Puffle. Yellow Puffles were first sighted in October, and made available for members in November. It can also be seen at the Stage, by pointing to or clicking on something. Yellow Puffles can play in DJ3K.

Purple Puffle.

Purple Puffle - They were discovered in August 2006. They are less known in Club Penguin than other Puffles, but as a result, they are almost always happy. They are known to dance, and subsequently, the Night Club was host to the Purple Puffle, in the Puffle Party 2009. Their eyes seem to be wider than every other puffle.

White Puffle.

White Puffle - The White Puffle was introduced to Club Penguin in March 2009. They are only avalable for members. They are smaller than all puffles, therefore making them unique. They are also the most popular puffles, and may be related to Ninjas, due to that fact that they slice their cookies like ninjas and they sleep like the stone puffles at the Dojo. They are also known for their ability to turn anything in to ice. Or create slopes of ice from thin air.

Orange Puffle.

Orange Puffle - The Orange Puffle is the newest puffle avaliable. The first sighting was in a Puffle video. It showed an Orange Puffle on a rampage with many other puffles. The second sighting was in the Box Dimension. Every 15 minutes, a box will float past and an Orange Puffle will pop out covered in Styrofoam Packaging Peanuts. The last sighting was when an Orange Puffle replaced the cuckoo bird in the cuckoo clock (every 30 minutes he comes) It is also at the Ski Village, on the ski lift, but you must have 10 orange penguins in the room. Their toys are monster truck wagons, boxes and hula hoops. Billybob showed an image of a Orange Puffle toy on Febuary 20 on the What's New Blog. As of Febuary 25, the Orange Puffle were made avaliable to buy. When you dance they hoola hoop.

"Yarr"

Yarr is Rockhopper's red puffle. Yarr can be seen atop the mast of the Migrator. Yarr was named so because he always responded to Rockhopper when he shouted "yarr".

"Keeper of the Boiler Room"

According to the Library book "Truth or Dare", which is found in the Book Room, the green puffle dancing on the speaker in the Night Club was the long-lost "Keeper" of the Boiler Room. If you look on the book cover on the book you can see him.

Apart from this, the puffle was also seen playing with the puck in the Ice Rink in mid-July. Penguins (especially DJs) think it was going away because the Dance Club is having a construction for the Music Jam 2008. This mostly got people mad for a very long time, because the puck wouldn't move when they touched it which made it impossible to play. Elite Puffles

In Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force, puffles can be trained at the Puffle Training Dojo to get special talents. These are the puffles that appear and their color and power in the order they appear:

Bouncer the blue puffle with snowball power
Blast the red puffle with cannon power
Flare the black puffle with welding power. Note: Unlike other black puffles, he does NOT turn into a red fireball, but instead blows blue fire from his mouth.
Loop the pink puffle with lasso power.
Pop the purple puffle with super-strong (yet breakable) bubbles power.
Flit the green puffle with flying powers. Although his normal flying into enemies attack is weak, he can cut the ropes of things on balloons like anvils and coffee bags to drop on enemies heads.
Chirp the yellow puffle who uses her flute to create super sonic waves that can shatter glass.

All these puffles are characters in the Christmas story "Puffle Pal Adventures: Music Makes Magic"

It is unknown what the White Elite Puffle is on the Puffle Prankster. It is possible that the new orange puffle will be one.

Unnamed Famous Puffles

A green puffle at the Pet Shop that is seen eating Puffle-O's.
Most unnamed puffles are wild puffles from the Wilderness of Club Penguin.
Aunt Arctic has a green, purple, black, blue and pink puffle. The puffles are not known by non-secret agents, even though Aunt Arctic was seen at The Penguin Play Awards.
An unnamed black puffle that follows you in Secret Missions #2 and #6 when you give him 'O' berries. At the end of the mission #6, a fire ball (which is that black puffle) appears in the sky flying.
A yellow puffle that lives at The Stage. It it has been dubbed "The Keeper of the Stage". He randomly appears when you click a puffle mask (on the rafters) or click the yellow button on the Switchbox 3000. He also appears in the Secret Mission #7.
An unnamed green puffle also appears in the Secret Mission #8. When it is given a cookie, it will fly just like a normal green puffle.
An unnamed white puffle appeared at the Dojo Courtyard and Mountain during the Puffle Party 2009. It might have been Sensei's puffle but when asked during his visit, he said he doesn't have any puffles.
6 black puffles had been spotted around the island, and if you wore a Ninja Mask and got near the black puffles, they would flame up. These black puffles are now gone, since the Help Goldsmiths Build Amulets event is now over.
3 orange puffles have appeared all over the island, one in the Box Dimension, one in the cuckoo clock in the Ski Lodge, and recently, in the Ski Village.

Puffles have become one of the most important features of the game, and many rumors were spread both by the Club Penguin staff and the fandom community for new types of puffles with new colors. thumb|200px|Orange Puffle Sightings.

Game Appearances

In Ice Fishing, a Pink puffle will swim along with a banner, warning the player of enemies. It used to be a blue puffle.
When someone plays Catchin' Waves with their red puffle, it surfs with you. This is a reference to Yarr being a surfer. However, it will back away in Survival Mode.
Puffles are the main character in the Paint by Letters book, My Puffle.
When you play Aqua Grabber with your pink puffle, it dives with you.
The black puffle is the main character in the game, Thin Ice.
Puffles are the main character in the game, Puffle Roundup.
When you play Dance Contest with your purple puffle, it dances with you.
In Elite Penguin Force, you have to challenge DS Dancing Penguin in Dance Challenge to impress Pop the purple puffle.
Some of the power cards in Card-Jitsu involve puffles.The Puffle Roundup card, the White Puffle card, the Yarr card and the Keeper of the Boiler Room card.
There is a Card-Jitsu Deck themed on puffles, which is called Puffle Deck.
You can bring your yellow puffle in DJ3K. They will be on the side dancing while you make music.

You cannot click in your puffles when they are moving.
Puffles don't like fish.
You can only see one black tuft of hair except when buying it. When buying it, you see two.
Red puffles are the main and probably the only species of puffle on Rockhopper Island.
If you give an 'O' Berry to a black puffle, he will burn and turn red. Also, spicy 'O' Berries have been proven as a dangerous combination. Players can try to make it in Secret Mission #6.
When players adopt a puffle they receive a Post card from Penguin Mail saying "Thank you for adopting (puffle's name). It needs a lot of attention. Puffles will return to the wild when they are left alone for too long."
In Mission 9 it was confirmed that the next plan of Herbert P. Bear will involve puffles. Agents were advised to keep a close eye on the Pet Shop and puffles.
In Mission 10 G revealed that the PSA had captured a golden puffle but it was later revealed to be a trap for Herbert.
On February 13, 2009, Billybob said Puffles would start interacting with their furniture.
They were involved in a party made for them on February 20, 2009.
For the 2008 April Fools party, everyone who logged on CPIP test servers became green puffles. When they danced, they could eat, bath, etc.
On February 13, 2009, Puffles began to play with their furniture. However, many penguin's puffles ran away due to a bug that made the puffles energy bar drop very quickly.
Somehow, Puffles are able to produce their toys out of completely nothing, as said in the Puffle video.
Puffles have tongues of different colors (i.e. blue has a purple tongue, green has an orange one, white has a blue one.) However, when interacting with their furniture, they will all have red tongues.
If you want your puffles to play when their mood is "very happy", they will not do the same thing as when its mood is "happy", "sad" or "very sad".
When puffles interact with furnitures, such as puffle houses, they won't necessarily interact with furnitures of their own color.
All puffles have two thin tufts of short black hair on their head, orange puffles tufts of hair are curly.
An asteroid puffle was discussed about in an issue of Club Penguin Times. It could possibly be a black puffle on fire. This is, in fact, a reference to to Secret Mission 6, where the black puffle who has eaten the Hot Sauce 'O' Berry flys overhead.
Before Aqua was a color If you had a white puffle when playing the game "My Puffle", it will show a blue puffle, This has been fixed.
If you have at least 2 of the same-colored Puffle, they're usually have the same amount of hunger, health, and rest.
The green puffle drools when it sleeps.
Usually, if a Puffle is low on Hunger, Health, and Rest, if you feed and bathe one, it's Rest level will be full. This is a way to save Coins.
The Puffle Party 2009 logo had different colors in each letter for each different puffle. The colors like brown and magenta do not exist but this could be further proof of brown and magenta puffles.
There is a rumor that the orange lights from the Dance-A-Thon and in the Night Club means there might be an orange puffle coming. Mainly due to the fact that it flashes almost all colors of puffles except purple and black.
When running away, different colored puffles will send postcards with different sentences (usually has something to do with their personality).
There are Fireworks in the shapes of puffles that was used during the New Years celebration and Independence Day celebration.
In Mission 5, if you look closely while feeding the O' Berries to the Black Puffle that Black Puffles have green tongues.
A Black Puffle aids you in Mission 2 and Mission 6.

In the recent blog post, they said there will be a new puffle coming out, and a new Mission also. It is unknown when the new puffle will come out.
Many Penguins believe that the rainbow puffle will be released but it most likely never to be released since puffles can only have one color.
