Sasquatch is a creature who first appeared in Club Penguin's files. He gives away the Mystery Background. He appears to be shy, running away from crowds. Not much was known about him until the Puffle Party 2015.

History

Development

Sasquatch first appeared in Club Penguin's files in August 2014. On August 7, 2014, Sasquatch was given a background and Mascot data. On August 9, 2014, he started to walk around the island, giving players his background.

Puffle Party 2015

When a cake which would've been eaten at the Puffle Lodge launch party mysteriously disappeared, PH thought the cake thief was a giant puffle. However, the cake thief was later revealed to be Sasquatch, who got bored of O-Berries (his species' main source of food) and wanted to eat some "scaly food" (the cake had fish in it).

Appearance

Sasquatch has a very penguin-like body with lots of brown fur. He wears what appears to be the Beta Hat on his head. He has a beige face with large black eyebrows and what appears to be a mane or a beard, similar to Rockhopper. Around his eyes he has a small brown outline. He also has a penguin-like beak with a tooth on each side. Going down from his chest to his belly is a long beige pattern similar to the white pattern on a penguin. He has four black fingers on each hand and paw-like feet.

Theories

• The Sasquatch may be another myth finally being revealed, similarly to the original ?????? who was seen digging out the Dojo in 2008. This penguin later became a mascot named Sensei who taught penguins Card-Jitsu and solved the old myth that there were ninjas in Club Penguin.
• It is highly believed that the Sasquatch is the truth behind all the rumors about a Yeti living in Club Penguin.
• It was hinted that the Sasquatch lives in a cave in The Spoiler Alert.

Trivia

• Prior to Card-Jitsu's release, Sensei was also called "??????".
• A similar character was seen in the real life book Stowaway! Adventures at Sea. The character was a blue penguin with a large white beard and wore a Beta Hat in his head. In the book, you find him inside a cave of a distant island while sailing with Rockhopper. The blue penguin says: "I was young like you, once. I liked living on Club Penguin, but I always wondered what lands waited for me beyond the waves. So I built myself a boat and set sail. But a storm kicked up, and I have been stranded here on this island ever since. I missed Club Penguin's snow and ice, so I live down here in the cave, where it's cool." After that, you and Rockhopper take him to Club Penguin.
