The Party Starts Now is a Club Penguin animated music clip, following the style of the previous Never Wake a Sleeping Sensei, Best Seat in the House, and Puffle Trouble. The video features Cadence singing a Club Penguin original song called The Party Starts Now, and was released for the party Make Your Mark: Ultimate Jam. On June 30, 2012, a sneak peek video was released with a small portion of the song, and the full version was released two weeks later, with a total length of 2:36. Soon after, on July 17, 2012, The Party Starts Now became available for download on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon with a price of $1.29.

Plot

Cadence is hosting a party at the Night Club. She DJ's the first two verses while the lights become brighter. She projects holograms above the Town and within the club before jumping out of the DJ booth and dancing with the penguins on the dance floor. After the chorus plays a second time, Herbert turns the lights off. Gary is seen beside a power box, and shrugs as he doesn't know why did the power went off. Cadence starts rapping as she is elevated to the Night Club Rooftop. All the penguins are also elevated in platforms. The lights turn on and all the penguins in the rooftop start dancing again. As Cadence says "the party starts now", the lights become brighter, the camera zooms off and all the penguins from the island can be seen dancing. The camera zooms on Cadence again, and she says "Cadence out".

Animation Errors

• While Cadence dances her microphone sometimes moves to her right.
• A penguin during 1:26 - 1:28 is discolored Lime Green, when the penguin should be colored Pink.
• When the penguins are about to elevate to the Rooftop, only three penguins are seen on the circles before they launch, when in the next scene, all the penguins are on a circle.
  • Despite Gary being seen at the Rooftop he is not seen being elevated to the Rooftop.
• The circles colored aqua and orange switch with each other between scenes.
• If you pause the video at 2:15, one side of Cadence's headphones is yellow instead of green.

Trivia

• All of the Mascots at the time except for the Penguin Band and Rookie can be seen in this video: Cadence, PH, Gary, Sensei, Rockhopper, Herbert and Aunt Arctic.
• You can see Gary two times in this video.
• Herbert can be seen at 1:43 right before the power goes out, holding a wrench. This implies that he was the source of the blackout.
• This is the first Club Penguin Song to have singing (however, if you count the three Penguin Chat 3 songs, this is the fourth).
• An instrumental version of the song is the main theme for the Make Your Mark: Ultimate Jam.
• In the lyrics Cadence says "stylin' little puffle", but in the song she clearly says "diva" in place of "little".
• Two famous puffles can be seen, Yarr and Dubstep Puffle
• Happy77 can be seen at 0:57.
• There was a karaoke of this music in Pizza Parlor during the Monsters University Takeover.
• In the comic book, Shadow Guy and Gamma Gal Heroes Unite, the sensei said that he "did not care much for dancing" when Amy asked him why he wasn't dancing, even though he stands on his head and uses his hat to spin around/dance in this music video. This is the first time a moderator appears alone.
