Club Penguin Wiki:Archive/Policy Making Council Proposal
Lately, our policies are kind of falling behind and are not really even being enforced (Such as the signature policy, voting policy, etc.), and some policies are completely obsolete but are still in place (such as the CPW and CPFW relations treaty). The reason policies are not being enforced well is mainly because our policies are all outdated policies which meet 2009 standards (when the majority of them were created). I think we need to form a "Policy Making Council" which will consist of the current admins. Current B-crats will hold a veto power (if a crat decides to veto, the council proposal would be abolished), while regular administrators will not have veto abilities, however they are permanent members as long as they are an administrators. Alongside that, we will every month or so select 5 or more temporary non-admin members. Every so often, we would hold discussions and review and revise all current policies, and make new ones if needed. While if someone wants a new policy now, they usually hold a general vote, problem is though, nobody is proposing new ones or proposing changes. If we had set meeting to do so, then we would. Sorry I am writing this while im really tired so it may not be clear. Feel free to contact me if you have questions. --Seahorseruler (Talk Page) (Contribs) 23:20, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
To summarize veto abilities: A b-crat voting no is not the same as a b-crat using veto. Crats usually if they simply disagree would vote no and be counted as a normal no vote as if it were from any user, however, if they feel the proposal will cause unstability or is extremely ridiculous, they may use veto which would fail the proposal.

- I agree, but will the council replace staff? Or will both still exist? --Unknown4 Talk

What's the "CPW and CPFW relations treaty"? --PenblooeR © 2011 23:26, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- It is, as I said, an obsolete outdated bill passed in 2009 sometime. Its still officially displayed but has no purpose. --Seahorseruler

- I like this. Looks more like a system of government. --LordMaster96 23:40, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- Might as well change the rules to confirm with today's standards. --Skater Blue Cat 23:51, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
I think that 2 of the 3 bureaucrats should vote "no" for a proposal to fail. Example: if 2 b-crats vote yes for something, but HP votes no, it automatically fails no matter what the community, admins or other b-crats think. Remember that people don't agree in everything. Everyone has different opinions. --PenblooeR © 2011 23:54, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
