All users are our invited to our council meetings. Bureaucrats hold a special additional ability, called veto. This is enforced whenever over half of all present bureaucrats vote against a proposal - and the proposal is automatically discarded.

#1 CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! (Operation Green Owl)

For those CLCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!UBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! WIKIA RLUES!ho do not know, WIKIA RLUES!w.duolingo.com/ Duolingo is a fast growing website and app that allows anyone to learn a foreign CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! WIKIA RLUES!uage for free. How does this apply to the Club Penguin Wiki? WCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!ell friends, simply put, Duolingo's main purpose is to teach a person CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! WIKIA RLUES!a new language in order to translate articles on the web. Duolingo has been around already for several years, CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! WIKIA RLUES!d has been doing extensive translating work, most notably on Wikipedia. Many of these articles can be uploaded by regulCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!ar registered users of the Duolingo website.

User:TheBroMaster and I startedCLUCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!BPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! OCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!peratioCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!n Green Owl, a test to see if and how well Duolingo would translate Club Penguin Wiki CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! WIKIA RLUES!rticles. Be mindful when I say Club Penguin Wiki, (Not Fanon, not Shops), since most articles related to Duolingo are educationally and factually based.

Now you may be wondering if tCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!he translations Duolingo makes are accurate. httCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!p://www.duolingo.com/translation/d5f228ae00849a2859b300f8445246dc Well, here's an article from the CPW that is currently on Duolingo. CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! Let's evaluate this, shall we? CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!CLUBPENGUIN CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!CLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! RLUES!

(As of February 2, 2014) This article is currently still undergoing translation. This article is being translated by NATIVE GERMAN SPEAKCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!ERS who are learning English. Not only do they translate the article, other V WIKIA RLUES!an speakers have to check their work to make sure their translations are accurate. This system is a lot more trustwCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!oCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!ES!rthy than Google Translate, where translations are coCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!mputer generated and may not always be accurate. This translation method is FREE and aCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES! win-win sitCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!uation. Not oCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!nly do we get articles translated for free, we arCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!e offering foreigners the OPPORTUCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!NITY to learn English on Duolingo. CLUBPENGUCLUBPENGUIN WIKIA RLUES!IN WIKIA RLUES!

I believe that this system is a perfect alternative (or possibly solution) to making separate language wikis.

What is my plan of action? Simple- we will have special dedicated users interested in learning a second (or third) language join Duolingo (if they haven't already) to upload Club Penguin Wiki articles to be translated into a foreign language. Currently, our English articles can be translated into German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Russian- satisfying all the languages that Club Penguin itself is available in. The CPW articles could also be translated into other language such as Italian, Dutch, Turkish, and Polish, though it's somewhat useless at this point.

My only problem is that I'm not sure what happens to the articles once they are done with translations. They don't disappear from the database, so the users that upload the CPW articles should be monitoring these articles that they upload periodically to see progress. Furthermore, some of the text boxes aren't always shown. Not sure why.

Currently, the only known articles translated are:

Duolingo is also currently expanding it's languages at a rapid pace. Japanese, Chinese (simplified), Arabic, Korean, and Hindi to English will be available in a matter of months. Just in case anyone wants to translate articles into these languages too (though not recommended since they will be in Beta and isn't useful for this wiki genre). Anyone can join Duolingo and upload CPW articles to it's database (and no you don't have to translate it yourself, other people will.) Perhaps a translation log would be an efficient way to keep track of the articles translated.

Please leave me your comments below. This is an important step into the future. :)

  • Err, I suppose it's a good idea in theory, but I have a few questions. 1. So we have to move all of our articles to this site, where they stay forever? That may infringe on the copyright situation Seahorse has been trying to enforce wouldn't it? 2. The articles would be word-for-word copies of the English wiki (in another language). I see that as a problem because a lot of our articles need improvement, and even if we improve them in english the pages in other languages would remain barren until we actually get CPWN users from that language (who know something about CP). In addition, some of our item articles from the past few years also have some grammar errors due to them being written by Brazilian users, so how would those grammar mistakes fare getting screwed up even more with learners trying to translate them? 3. Where would all of these translated articles go? I understand that the articles would be available on duolingo, but would them be put on the network somewhere? Imo the only place we could put them is on separate wikis- because the separate language "areas" idea that fanon uses wouldn't really work on this wiki (It's highly english dominated, so it would be very hard to incorporate other languages into it I think). CK 06:24, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Yes, it does stay there, but wherever it will go is a mystery. All I know is that it will stay on Duolingo's website. The people who will be doing the translations will not be Wiki members, but random human beings who are native speakers of the target language trying to learn English.

Here is a video of how the whole process comes together:

Hope that helps

    • Personally, I think relying on people who most likely have never even heard of Club Penguin and are only learning the language they're trying to translate from isn't a very good idea. Plus, like CK said, copyright issues and typos could cause an even bigger mess. -- Chill57181 Talk Contribs 19:58, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
  • I think this is good, but it would take a lot of time! --Dalmation564 (talk) 22:00, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

(2) RocketSnail Games subwiki

The topic came up a long time ago to think about a RocketSnail Wiki. As I thought about it, I personally felt that it would be a cool addition to our network. Not only would it be more content, but it'd also be the first addition that isn't entirely based on CP (even though Rocketsnail was the base of CP from 2000-2005 at the very least). It has become apparent that if we can't even get more CP based wikis in other languages, that a RocketSnail Wiki is out of the question.

However, I still feel like some sort of database for RocketSnail Games would be very cool. So, I'm asking to have a sub-wiki created here (an example of a sub-wiki is Ideas). It could probably have it's own logo like the CPWN subwiki, as well as pages pertaining to all of RocketSnail's games other than the CP series, including Mancala Snails, Ballistic Biscuit before CP, and we could also move the Penguin Chat variants page over.

Note: Although there is currently a RocketSnail Wiki on wikia founded by our very own Metalmanager in 2009, the current adoptee Dps04 said he'd cooperate with us (I suppose that means abandoning it or something), making our subwiki the only known database centered around the company (which I personally think is cool). • If this were to happen, it'd also need it's own namespace such as Ideas has. Some suggestions may be Rocketsnail:/RocketSnail:/Rsnail:, RocketsnailGames:, or maybe even RSG:. Also if it happened, I think it would be nice to put it on the mainpage either in "Explore" near ideas or with the other wikis (shops, fanon, etc.). CK 01:05, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Wait, Didn't I think of this before? Cause this topic is speaking to me. Penstubal (Talk) (Edits) 21:31, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

(3) Mobile Theme

A good idea that would improve Club Penguin Wiki is adding a mobile theme, to make the access from mobile devices (such as smartphones) easier. MediaWiki has released an extension called "MobileFrontend", which is already used in Wikipedia. The add-on allows users to read and edit articles from a phone in a much better way than the one provided by the desktop theme. It improves the user experience, making the website load faster and in a more readable form. --Juca (discussão/talk) 21:27, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
