This is the summary of the Council meeting on 23 June 2012.

(1) Implement User:Tux/Global bot policy and User:Tux/Global rights policy

Both policies will be implemented. The minimum amount of wikis that are required to have been edited on to become a global bot was changed to 2.

(2) Global policy

With Agent Johnson's CPFW blog post, the community of the Fanon Wiki were in favour of a global policy. The signature policy will be returning, however, with the following changes:

  • No <big> allowed.
  • Any alias can be used to link to your username.
  • All images have been limited to 20px in your signature.

The quitting policy will return, albeit with minor changes. Quit messages are only allowed on your userpage, however they can be as long as you want them to be. Comments will be disabled because of the drama that is caused.

The "Zone Kodes" will not be implemented.

(3) Get a new server/host

A potential host is already in the sights of the staff. The server will be discussed further by staff members.

(4) "Read this article in another language"

The "Names in other languages" (Niol) template will be returning. There will be a link to the foreign language wiki's respective article (with an #if variable to prevent red-links). Furthermore, there will be a link to the wiki itself as well as a flag next to it, to make the link to the other-language wiki more noticeable. This will be added by bot, mostly.

(5) Forum guidelines/policy

A forum policy will be created. All of the wiki's current policies will apply to the wiki, with corresponding punishments. Users will be reminded to create threads in the correct forum, and not to spam.

(6) Define the "standards" for parties/events

Because of the lack of detail provided by Cp kid, the topic will be discussed at a meeting where Cp kid is active. It was also established that you must try to attend a meeting if you submit a topic for it.

(7) Fanon and staff

It was decided that there will two slots open for CPFW users to become Staff members.

(8) Regarding Rollbacks and Patrollers

Rollbacks and Patrollers will not be fused together, and will retain the same rights. Users are reminded that the Patroller right is simply a counter-vandalism roles, and does not hold the same kind of authority as a sysop - just because of its delete ability. Patroller will be given to users who are already rollbacks and are dedicated to counter-vandalism. The Patroller user-right may possibly be renamed to clarify its purpose.

(9) Formation of a network council

A network-wide council will be formed to discuss issues involving the whole network. It is unknown where it will be held, at the moment. The Club Penguin Wiki will remain in its current form, however the Fanon will not be getting their own council for now. It is possible in the future that they will get one.

(10) Abolish UNCPW

The Un-Club Penguin Wiki will be moved to TropicalWikis, as it is inactive and is not family-friendly.

(11) Partnership Program Implemented into the CPW

A Partnership Program will be implemented. The program's council will probably be composed of a CPW user, a CPFW user, and a staff member. The partners will probably be advertised as "buttons" in the "Other Projects" box, in the right column of the main page.

(12) Adding an image pool

There was no conclusion on what to do with the image pool. It will be discussed by staff.

(13) Club Penguin Army Wiki

As Star Kirby was absent at the meeting, the topic was skipped.

(14) AWC Forum for Club Penguin Fanon Wiki and/or User Blog namespace

A blog namespace has already been created by Andrew. An AWC Forum for Fanon will also be created.
