Coins for Change
Coins for Change is a virtual charity that allows penguins to donate their hard-earned coins to various booths and stands across the island.
Concept
Starting December 14th, Club Penguin has officially decided to donate one million of their real world cash ($) earned from the purchase from Disney to various charities. They have set up two locations on the island where you can donate your virtual coins for different causes. The three causes are to help children in need from around the world, help the sick who can not afford medical treatment, or the environment. Although all three causes will receive funds, the one with the most donated virtual coins will receive the most real world money. There are 2 locations; one at The Plaza and one at the Beach.

There are currently commercials airing about Club penguin on Disney Channel.
There are three charitable organizations that will share the $1 million dollar donation, namely:
- World Wildlife Fund (for the environment)
- Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (for children's health)
- Free the Children (for children in developing countries)
