The Court Jester Hat is a head item in Club Penguin. It was released in 2007 and has since become a very popular item. Members could purchase this item for 250 coins in the Penguin Style catalog or in the Costume Trunk while The Twelfth Fish is at the Stage. The hat was also unlockable from the Series 3, 6 and 10 Treasure Books. It has been paired with the Court Jester Outfit in every one of it's catalog appearances except for the Costume Trunk during Night of the Living Sled: Live. Similar items are the other Jester Hats.

History

The Court Jester Hat was released in the Costume trunk in December 2007 for the play The Twelfth Fish, where it was used as the costume for the character "Jester". It returned during the play's encore in May 2008. It was in the May 2009 Penguin Style catalog for the Medieval Party 2009, and it has since been popularized as a medieval item. Between 2009 and 2011, the Court Jester Hat was in three different Treasure Books, 3, 6 and 10 to be specific. The items most recent appearances were once again in the Costume Trunk during the Night of the Living Sled: Live play in 2011 (as a secret item) and The Twelfth Fish's 2012 encore.

Although it has only been in one Penguin Style catalog during a Medieval Party, the item has been popularized as a medieval party item and is most commonly seen during Medieval Parties. Even though it hasn't been available since February 2012, it still remains a quite common and popular item.

• The original Medieval Party colors are the same as this hat (Green, Orange, Purple). That might be one of the reasons that the Court Jester Hat is considered to be a common Medieval Party item.
