This is an open document. Anybody is free to participate.
Currently there are two wikis focused on Club Penguin – this one and the one hosted on wikia. This schism is less than optimal for many reasons and we should aim to unite these two communities.
- Why is having two wikis bad?
- Every content has to be created twice. If the people cooperated on one wiki they could write twice as many articles.
- Which way should the merging go?
- Why shouldn't we all just abandon this wiki and go work on wikia? Well wikia has many limitations such as not supported SWF files and doesn’t allow the things I propose lower. Custom wiki hosting will allow us advanced features wikia couldn’t even dream of.
- How should it go?
- First the administration will have to be merged. Don’t know which form of government cp.w has – needs research, if compatible.
- Next the data. Unfortunately this will be very complicated. – how to automate it as much as possible?
