His Royal Majesty, King Jones I of Prussia

I took your advice and acquired "Victoria II" last night. I got addicted to it and played just the demo, today, for four hours. After learning the game's ups and downs by playing Japan (and not advancing much), I took hold of Prussia. You could write fanfiction about my feats.

It all began in 1836 AD, at the War of Texan Independence. I declared war on Mexico with the goal of Returning Mexican-held Texas to Texas. After fielding a small fleet of ships and soldiers to Mexico, I turned inwards and fell silent almost twenty years.
I empowered the Liberals to allow immediate capitalism. As time ticked on, their factories made my reserves balloon, after twenty years of scratching it ever closer, to over a million!

My naughtiness in Texas went forgotton. The USA and Mexcio declared a truce and split Texas evenly. By the 1850s, America somehow entered into its Civil War early! I enacted funds to the Confederacy to win their loyalty, and amazingly, after some influence peddling, I added them to my Sphere and stopped the United States immediately without a single ship. I preserved almost the entire Confederacy, and then, I made them my ally!

The time came for me to settle my war on Mexico. I mustered up all the troops I could and steamrolled over half of the country, increasing my demands all the way to puppetry AND annexation, with Texas still on my mind. Had Austria and White Russia not ordered me to stop by declaring War of Containment on Prussia, there wouldn't BE a Mexico. I accepted Containment, and my military dissolved, but not before I coerced Mexico to free Texas. That's when it got AWESOME. I had saved the Confederacy and liberated Texas... -and accidently created two sovereign nations in doing so! The map read USA, CSA, and Texas. Three different nations, two of them my allies. I couldn't buttkiss the USA enough to become their friend, but I was more than happy with my cohorts.

I am sad, though, that I couldn't influence them in the Sphere. Had I made them my puppets- I'm puppeting Texas next -I could have created a Texan-CSA Empire from my throne in Prussia.

I wish I had taken screenshots. It was wicked awesome!!

P.S.: BEST. GAME. SINCE. TROPICO. It might even be better. Can has more Texas freedom, can has big Texas empire. Can has little CSA and little USA in Texas yoke. CAN HAS MUCH DIXIE FREEDOM. CAN HAS WORLD DOMINATION.
