His Royal Majesty, King Jones I of Prussia

I took your advice and acquired "Victoria II" last night. I got addicted to it and played just the demo, today, for four hours. After learning the game's ups and downs by playing Japan (and not advancing much), I took hold of Prussia. You could write fanfiction about my feats.

It all began in 1836 AD, at the War of Texan Independence. I declared war on Mexico with the goal of Returning Mexican-held Texas to Texas. After fielding a small fleet of ships and soldiers to Mexico, I turned inwards and fell silent almost twenty years.
I empowered the Liberals to allow immediate capitalism. As time ticked on, their factories made my reserves balloon, after twenty years of scratching it ever closer, to over a million!

My naughtiness in Texas went forgotton. The USA and Mexcio declared a truce and split Texas evenly. By the 1850s, America somehow entered into its Civil War early! I enacted funds to the Confederacy to win their loyalty, and amazingly, after some influence peddling, I added them to my Sphere and stopped the United States immediately without a single ship. I preserved almost the entire Confederacy, and then, I made them my ally!

The time came for me to settle my war on Mexico. I mustered up all the troops I could and steamrolled over half of the country, increasing my demands all the way to puppetry AND annexation, with Texas still on my mind. Had Austria and White Russia not ordered me to stop by declaring War of Containment on Prussia, there wouldn't BE a Mexico. I accepted Containment, and my military dissolved, but not before I coerced Mexico to free Texas. That's when it got AWESOME. I had saved the Confederacy and liberated Texas... -and accidently created two sovereign nations in doing so! The map read USA, CSA, and Texas. Three different nations, two of them my allies. I couldn't buttkiss the USA enough to become their friend, but I was more than happy with my cohorts.

I am sad, though, that I couldn't influence them in the Sphere. Had I made them my puppets- I'm puppeting Texas next -I could have created a Texan-CSA Empire from my throne in Prussia.

I wish I had taken screenshots. It was wicked awesome!!

P.S.: BEST. GAME. SINCE. TROPICO. It might even be better. Can has more Texas freedom, can has big Texas empire. Can has little CSA and little USA in Texas yoke. CAN HAS MUCH DIXIE FREEDOM. CAN HAS WORLD DOMINATION.

Victoria II Should Have

I am amazed at how many hours I can squeeze from that demo. Anyway, here's what the game is missing that I hope it gets, either as a Mod or as an Expansion Pack.

1. Containment agreements should expire, because you can't build any military back and that is a guaranteed Game Over. There must be a way to either lawfully exit OR simply buck the yoke like RL Germany did!

2. YOU should be able to Justify a War with Containmemt. Why can't we force THAT on THEM?

3. A fascist government should be allowed to exterminate OR protect OR enshrine the Jewish people! What if I think Jews are the master race?

4. Why can't I decide what cultures are Accepted or not? When Japan ran over Polynesia, I wanted to assimilate the Polynese by diplomacy.

5. When the Computer goes to War with me, he should be allowed to increase his demands. Example: if I played USA and started getting beaten by Spain after the initial war, why shouldn't Spain get the balls to ask for Cuba back, and then more (think Florida) if they win further and further?

6. Anythung I can do, the Computee should be allowed to do. Anything the Computer can do, I should do,

7. When I gang up on an enemy with allies, THEY SHOULD ACTUALLY FIGHT, like they actually do on the Computer's Team! Thanks a lot, Confederacy and UK! I really appreciate your actions in Mexico! (AAAAAAGH)

8. When you and a team of Allies go to War, and they refuse to go, you should sweeten the pot by allowing them to divide the land, this mobilizing them to win.

9. I should be allowed to extract Reparations as a condition to be met.

10. I should be allowed to annex Colonies, like I can set them free, but only if I Settle enough of my people.

11. I want to add new Accepted Cultures or remove them.

12. Why can't I control religion? I should bring Christian missionaries to Japan or send Shintos to Zulu when I conquer. Religion should be dynamic and should be used as both charity and weapon.

13. You should be able to receive Mission Requests from all other faiths. You can Embrace, Tolerate, or Exterminate that faith. (Example: Shintos in Zulo but REMOVE KEBAB.) Each Religion brings benefits and drawbacks and strongly affects political views and things like Rotten Boroughs.

14. You should be able to place or engineer Rotton Boroughs, Machine Politics, Mafias, and all those little icons I keep seeing. Indirectly is fine.

15. You should choose your State Religion (Moralism and Plural) and ban other faiths or tolerate them (Plural), as long as you have any number of people practicing it where you are.

16. Immigrants should bring their faiths with them and influence the people. Your immigrants should do the same.

17. At the cost of extreme Militiancy, you should rollback Reforms.

18. You should be allowed to split nations if an old realm existed on top of them at any time. (For example, I should Justify a War on USA to Free TEXAS… -but IN 1919 AD!!!)

19. Likewise, you should be allowed to split yourself if the people demand it. Movements should exist for this.

20. You should be allowed to have two or three national priorities if your ranking is past a certain milestone.

21. Why aren't the Indian tribes in USA (like and especially Cherokee, who wouldn't be run out for a very few more years, similar tiny timeframe as Texas) present?

22. Does the California Republic show up? I didn't see a Gold Rush notice in 1849 AD. In RL, California became a sovereign nation for a short while to annexation.

23. In USA, there should be constant Indian uprisings until the 1880s or do, just like in RL.

24. There should be fringe movements to turn time backwards in later parts of the game. Example: Reactionary Rebels in Japan should fight for a Shogunate in 1899 or something similar. They should be tiny but threatening, and only when the time is right and game conditions match up.

25. You should be able to immediately grant Rebel demands instead of waiting for winning.

26. What do you MEAN I can't choose a Theocracy? Moralism ain't dark enough.

27. After 1865 AD, I should STILL be allowed to liberate the Confederacy from the USA and Texas from the USA or Mexico. There should NEVER be an expiration date!

28. If I have the right scores and Influence, I should be able to create my own Party with my own ideals, but it has to win like everyone else. Limit one party.

29. MORE STANCES. Economy, theology, interior, and war aren't enough!

30. BANANA REPUBLICS PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

31. YOU should be allowed to ASK to be placed under a Sphere of Influence, OR other nations should try and do that. Same with Protectorate and same with puppet.

32. COVERT AND BLACK OPS! I should be able to forcibly create Rebels and instability to topple governments! In RL, this was everywhere until WWI!

Import

Hi Refractor. I haven't seen you or Sea on IRC lately, so I figured I'd message you the old fashion way. Since you're technical staff, I was wondering if you could fix this page. Firstly, the image importing doesn't work- but more importantly it has no area to import pages from the old fanon (see Special:Import if you want to compare. I'd really appreciate it if you could fix the issue(s) as best as you can, but if you can't for whatever reason, that's ok too (I asked LordMaster a few days ago, he has access to it but he didn't know how to add/fix it :P). Thanks for any help you can give :)

Page importing works fine, but I tried to import images using the page import area and it didn't work so well. I'm sure that was probably a stupid thing that I did, not the import system, but I figured I'd ask you how do I import images, since I'm apparently a noob at it, and I assume you're pretty good at it :P Thanks a ton. Idea

Hello. I just had an idea to make the SWF uploads at Club Penguin Archives faster. Well, do you know pywikibot? It's written in python and made by MediaWiki to manage bots. There are several scripts, including one to upload a file. So I was thinking if it would be possible to adapt this script or create a new one to upload all the files from a directory. This would make the process of uploading large amounts of files much more faster (for example Club Penguin Times editions, that are composed by more than 100 files in all languages). • Update: I made some changes on the script upload.py. It's not perfect, but it's working. It would be nice to add some options to select the license later. Here it is: http://pastebin.com/QhKUTsed. Ps. Can I plug the CPFW on articles on this wiki. Have CPFW articles about canon stuff (Gary, the pizza parlor, ect) be on "External links" on articles in this wiki so people can come there. It would be good to build a larger Club Penguin community for this network.

Bot to upload pictures from fanon and give them credit

Hey, Zap, we're planning on snuffing the old fanon wiki sometime this year, but one thing that's preventing us is the fact that many images uploaded to the new fanon aren't credited with their authors.

We're wondering if you can create a bot to do this. We want the bot to upload every picture to the fanon, both new and old versions of the picture, and post a comment saying which user uploaded it. This is because looking at the first author isn't accurate, as someone might have added a radically different image, and looking at the last author isn't accurate as they new person might have simply done minor edits to the image. Plus uploading all pictures would be good for looking at our history.

Anyhow, let me know if this is feasible. Thanks.

SVG renderer

RE:PT cache

Hello, Refractor. Thanks for answering me. I remember Seahorseruler saying that the cache problem was not from Cloudflare, so it's a good idea to talk to him.
