Hello everybody. I've been meaning to post this announcement for quite some time but it's regarding a few things.

Announcements

"Missions" and "stories"

These missions that people are spending time on making are counter-productive to our wiki. They add nothing to the wiki in any way, they are frankly useless and do not belong here. Unless we can see that you are clearly editing the wiki are participating in the community in an orthodox fashion more than you are editing these missions, they will be deleted. We're planning to make a mission wiki if you guys are really desperate to do this.

Let me repeat, you can still make them, but in a considerable frequency. We don't really want to see your last two pages of contributions to be "user:penguinkid999/Secret Agent Mission #1337/Oh no!/Failed". I'm not putting a time interval on it, you can figure that out on your own. If you hardly edit, don't make those edits missions and stories. If you edit actively, feel free to make a mission occassionaly.

Signatures

I don't know what happened to our signature policy, but after our move - let's just say it failed.

  • All images in a signature are limited to 20px in size in order to not break the line format.
  • Also, there must be a link in your signature to your page that includes your name and nothing else. The rest of the links to talk pages and contribs can be as creative as you want, but we have no idea who you are if you're signature is a random mess of irrelevant names.
  • They can be creative signatures, but please make sure the byte size is small (we'll discuss the exact number). This means no long signatures with a sentence for each link.

Please stop copying my userpage design

I see it everywhere. It's not even funny, and I'm not blind either. I'm sure you're not either, if you're going to copy it at least remove the warning message that says not to copy it and change it up a bit. That means changing the background colour to dark orange isn't good enough ;)

But seriously, signatures must be 20px in images, must have your username clearly displayed, shouldn't be too long. And no missions unless you're actively editing our wiki.

  • Missions: I agree to a missions wiki to get missions away! Other than that, no comment...
  • Signatures: Nothing to say here... I TOTALLY AGREE
  • Userpage Policy: I totally agree! If someone doesn't want their userpage copied, DON'T DO IT. Or at least ask permission!

Some problems with a mission wiki. Who are the admins? If it's on this network, we are looking at CPW admins running it, much like the SWF Archive wiki. Some of us do not want the wiki to be on this network, meaning that it will be gone, and you'll have to pay for your own domain (around $10/year), but I'm guessing that we'll set it up for you. -- LordMaster96 15:21, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

I agree with the signature policy, the userpage, and the missions. However, I don't agree with making a separate mission wiki. I think as long as users edit (main space) as often as they make missions, then it should be okay. --$harkbate Talk Page 17:22, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

The idea's very good, but we'll need a better name than Club Penguin Activities.
What do you think about the name, "Club Penguin Roleplay Wiki"?

It will be good for everyone. The CPW will be less polluted, the CPSW will be more active, and everybody will be having fun. I also agree with making a rule that prohibites missions and such here. That's why we have the CPSW. --PenblooeR © 2011 Talk to me! Or else... 03:43, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Chill it guys.

For a quick stopgap solution, use fanon or shops. THEY EXIST FOR A REASON -- TO SPREAD YOUR CREATIVITY.

I have plenty of room on our 3 servers to have a special missions wiki, if desired by the community.

Good idea. But the signatures rule is staying, it was already in the policy anyway, just never enforced for some reason. The signature rule will also be enforced network wide. Some of these sigs are a joke. --Tigernose TalkContribs 19:14, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Ok. I have a few things to say. I don't mind the signiture policy at all. Now if we change the name of the shops wiki and move our things over there, I think it should have different admins. I mean like we promote one admin there, and then that person can nominate other users foe Admins, which we(the users) can vote on. We could also just let that 1 admin promote 4 other admins.
