Original idea by ShrimpPin

Hey everyone... This idea will not be carried through, since many people disagree with it... There goes my hard work!

Hey, Club Penguin Wiki editors! This is a neat idea I've been thinking about: stickers. It's in the process of being approved. This is like Club Penguin's pins, except that they are hidden randomly around the wiki. When you find a sticker, it will look like this:

Sticker Release Date End Date
Sticker's picture 00/00/0000 00/00/0000

There will be a new sticker every week, sometimes relating to events in Club Penguin. The stickers will be hidden on a random page around the wiki every week, so be sure to check back on this page for a hint.

Sticker Collecting

When you've found a sticker, you can put it on your page in your Sticker Box.

Sticker Date Where
Example Sticker 00/00/0000 Page found

Every time you find a sticker, you can just extend your Sticker Box with this :

|-
|Example Sticker||00/00/0000||Page found
|-

Admin Approval?

  1. Nice idea, but I'll have to say no, because 1) You can cheat by browsing through contribs/RC. 2) If you're going to do it fairly you'll be wasting a lot of time browsing through a wiki with almost 4000 pages (and it's still expanding). -- LordMaster96 <staff /> 17:48, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Before anyone else says no, I would like to say two things: (I have said this many times) I will post the picture as an anonymous user. This way, nobody will look at my page and see what I have recently edited. Even if someone sees an anonymous edit in the RC, it's not likely they will click on the page to see what changed. Secondly, if you had read carefully, I said directly that there will be a hint on this page. Also, I think it would be a fun way to bring users to the wiki! If you found a sticker on a page, you would want to join so you could post it on your userpage. Also, if you see a mistake on the page that the sticker is on, you'll be compelled to restore the page. Please consider this carefully, as I have worked very hard on this idea and just want to help the wiki grow. :)

"Even if someone sees an anonymous edit in the RC, it's not likely they will click on the page to see what changed." It's the opposite sir - anons are more suspicious, users tend to look at edits made by anons rather than users because of vandalism fears, but it's true. And even if there is a hint, it won't look good on the page for readers. -- LordMaster96 <staff /> 19:48, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
