The Headphones are a head item in Club Penguin. Members were able to buy this item for 350 coins in the Costume Trunk catalog. It could also be unlocked from the Series 2 and 7 Treasure Books, prior to October 4, 2011 when the first 13 Series Treasure Books were merged. You could also obtain it by transferring coins from the Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force Nintendo DS game, prior to the removal of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection on May 20, 2014.
History
The Headphones were first available as a member item in the Penguin Style catalog in the Beta Testing 2005, making them one of Club Penguin's oldest items. February 1, 2008 marked the final day in which the member version of this item could be purchased. It later returned in the Treasure Book where everyone could unlock this item.
