Welcome to Club Penguin Wiki, SlidurCP!

Hi there! Welcome to the Club Penguin Wiki, the free online encyclopedia all about Club Penguin! We hope you enjoy your stay here.

To get you started on the wiki, here are some basic things we'd thought you'd like to know:

  • Edit - To edit an article, simply click the 'edit' button at the top of the page. Editing is the act of changing a page. Your knowledge is the main reason why we are a large website. Articles are our most important pages that are informative and have information on different things on Club Penguin.
  • User page - All users have their very own user page, or "profile". Your user page is your very own page, where you can describe yourself. Feel free to fill out your user page with information about yourself, and anything else you would like to say.
  • User talk - Every user in this wiki has a talk page, which enables you to communicate with other users, even if they're not online. They can send messages to you, while you can too through the talk page. You can add your signature by typing 4 tildes (~~~~). You can also click the button on the edit bar to do the same thing.
  • IRC (Chat) - The wiki has an IRC Channel, which can used to chat with other users in the wiki. You can meet your friends there, make new friends and ask for help if needed. The admins are usually active in IRC, it can be an easy way to get help from them. Click here to join our IRC chat.
  • The Berg - The Berg is the Club Penguin Wiki's official newspaper. Check it monthly for as there may be an event you might want to take part in or the site admins may have important information for you.
  • Others - There is much more to the wiki than just editing articles! You can write a party review, host your own party or even upload a funny picture! See the full list of things you can do here!

You can also modify some of your account settings such as your signature in your preferences. If you want to learn how to make a cool signature, click here!

Please, do take the time to read the wiki's policies and manual of style to avoid any future problems and blocks.

If you have any questions, an administrator will always be glad to help you. Thanks, and have a great time! -- Club Penguin Wiki Administration

Hi

Hi Slidur. You said "And why do all of the people that have admin and rollback powers still want to have more?" on the staff application page. In case you didn't know, I just wanted to inform you that being a CPWN Staff member is nothing like being a wiki rollback or administrator. Even though network staff have the powers of b-crats on every wiki in the network, they do not act as such. Network staff members (to the best of my knowledge) are supposed to watch over and maintain the network- and not intervene in individual wiki affairs unless they have to (in almost all cases the local administration is supposed to handle problems). So, for example, you couldn't use your privileges as a staff on the Club Penguin Wiki (acting as an admin) unless you have to (An example of this would be no administration on when a vandal attack occurs, than it's probably be ok to ban the vandals). I just wanted to inform you that being a wiki admin and a network staff are two totally different things. CK 23:26, 11 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
